Rural Doula Service was born out of the lack of prenantal and postpartum services avaialble in the Northern Illinois area.
Starr is dedicated to providing compassionate and professional doula services to families in the Northern rural areas of Illinois. She understand the unique challenges that come with rural living, and she aim's to offer personalized support during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. Her mission is to empower families with knowledge and confidence, ensuring a positive birth experience. Starr believes in fostering a nurturing environment where mothers and families feel cared for and supported every step of the way.

Meet Your Doula
Starr Anderson has been in the early childhood sector for over 25 years. Starting with her degree in Early Childhood Education, she found her early years teaching and running her own preschool. Her path blossomed into a Family supports specialist serving three rural counties and dozen's of families. Starr became a licensed massage therapist and then a birth and postpartum doula. She teaches parents "How to" infant massage classes in groups or in private sessions and is passionate about supporting families during one of the most important times in their lives. She is committed to continuous education and training to provide the best care possible.

With several years of experience in the field, Starr has supported numerous families through their birthing journeys. Certified through recognized doula training programs, ensuring the knowledge and skills to assist families effectively.
